CARVE THE FUTURE

Letter From The Club President

Dear Delegates,

It is my greatest honor to welcome you all to the first-ever edition of the Şehit Erol Olçok Anatolian High School Model United Nations Conference — ŞEOMUN’26, taking place from January 22nd to 25th. What started as a small vision among a few passionate students has now turned into a remarkable project—one that reflects dedication, belief, and the shared effort of an entire community. Over the past months, countless hours have been spent shaping a conference that not only brings people together but also inspires genuine curiosity, courage, and dialogue.
From the very beginning, ŞEOMUN was founded with a clear purpose: to create a platform where ideas can grow freely and young voices can rise with confidence. In a world where understanding and diplomacy matter more than ever, we aim to build a tradition that will strengthen both our school and our city’s MUN culture for years to come. This year, eight distinctive committees await you—each designed to challenge your perspectives, test your reasoning, and invite you to see the world from new angles. As delegates, you will have the chance to engage with issues that stretch across different times and disciplines, discovering in the process not only the complexities of global affairs but also the potential within yourselves.
To our Secretariat, Academic, and Organizational Teams—your perseverance and commitment have been nothing short of inspiring. You have turned an idea into a living reality, and for that, you deserve every bit of recognition and gratitude. Dear delegates, as you step into this experience, I invite you to approach every session with an open mind and a strong spirit. Let these four days be a journey where discussions turn into friendships, and where inspiration meets ambition.
Welcome to ŞEOMUN’26. May this conference become a memory that continues to motivate you long after it ends. Warm regards,
Yusuf İslam İlkis
